If somebody said the “It” bag of the season would be designed around favourite childhood games, Lego, nobody would believed them. However at the forefront of this seasons accessory hit list is Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel ‘Lego’ Clutch.
Made completely from plastic, Karl Lagerfeld has used the Perspex trend and put his own personal spin on it, briefly touching on both see-through and opaque designs.
With the symbolic leather and chain strap and most importantly the Chanel Logo, Lagerfeld has developed the clutch using a wide selection of colours. The bestsellers of the Lego clutch are the statement grass green opaque version and the chic and sophisticated black and see through design.
Inspired from the Lego toy, the clutch is made of plexiglass which has a lambskin lining and a long chain. It first came out as part of Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection, and continued to Fall/Winter 2013 collection with a bolder and detailed designs like tweed and crystals. The Chanel Lego Clutch comes with a high price tag.
